In 2018, I released Rain Rhythms, Vol. 1. The first in what I intended to be a long running series of EPs, in which I explore ambient ideas filtered through something of a jazzy, downtempo lens. Volume 1 was inspired by Hiroshi Yoshimura, Talk Talk, and Brian Eno, among others.

When 2019 rolled around, I wanted to revisit the idea and potentially release Volume 2 in the series. I tried to but the timing wasn't right, I couldn't quite figure out where to go next with the series, so I worked on other projects in the meantime.

I started brainstorming in late 2019, how to approach the next entry in the Rain Rhythms series. What could I do differently from the first time around? The answer I found, was to both strip back and add to what I did with the first volume. Hence why two tracks feature percussion and two do not. I've also incorporated more synth sounds this time around, employing the likes of a few M1 and D-50 sounds along the way. In addition to these subtle changes, I've also introduced more nature sounds in this volume.

So, without further ado, here's another short collection of rain inspired songs.
