The first in a long line of new releases commemorating 10 years of Faint Waves music. Look out for something new every month-ish.

Where the last release perhaps found me at my most jaded and troubled, I suppose the Sentimental mini-EP finds me somewhere else. Cautiously optimistic, quietly hopeful, tired but dreaming, longing but not without hope for resolve. Slightly sardonic, sure, but with heart.

It’s a difficult time of year, it always is. For everyone I think, but I can say it is for me, certainly. A lot of personal hardship associated with this time of year and yet, as the years go on, part of me always remains hopeful. Hopeful that I will return to grace and I suppose at some point, I always do. At least whatever it looks like for me.

Whatever trouble I’m facing or you're facing, it’s impermanent, it too will pass in time. When you’re going through it though, that’s all too distant a feeling. So I remind myself of all the good there’s been, the peace I have felt, and the hope there is still to be had. As another year shuts its eyes; I treasure what I’ve been given, bid farewell, and look forward. Maybe it’s all we can do. Good or bad, you face it, and you put one foot in front of the other.
